The uninstallation of software from STP Informationstechnologie GmbH is done through the Microsoft Windows software management. The Windows service STP.Updater ClientUpdateService is not removed by the setup because it may still be used by other STP applications.
Uninstall Outlook Integration
The uninstallation of the Office Add-In Office Integration is done through the Microsoft Windows software management.
Uninstall Outlook DESK
The uninstallation of the Outlook Add-In Outlook DESK is done through the Microsoft Windows software management.
Uninstall Client App Service
The uninstallation of the Client App Service (LCAS) application is done through the Microsoft Windows software management.
Uninstall Standard DESK
The uninstallation of the Standard DESK application is done through the Microsoft Windows software management.
Uninstall Server
The uninstallation of the Server program is done through the Microsoft Windows software management.
Uninstall STP.Common.Services
The uninstallation of the RabbitMQ Server, Erlang OTP, and STP.Common.Services components is done through the Microsoft Windows software management.
Application Data
Application data is stored by STP Documents in the following directories:
- %userprofile%\AppData\Roaming\STP AG
- %userprofile%\AppData\Local\STP.Ecm.Application
- %userprofile%\AppData\Local\STPAG
- %userprofile%\AppData\Local\STP.Managementkonsole
- %userprofile%\AppData\Local\STP.Ecm.DatabaseUpdateTool
- C:\ProgramData\STP AG\LEXolution.DMS.
These files and directories must be deleted manually. The directory for the STP Management Console should not be deleted if winsolvenz.p4 is still being used.
Uninstall STP.Updater Client
When uninstalling the STP.Updater Client through the Windows Control Panel, the Windows service STP.Updater ClientUpdateService is not stopped or uninstalled.
This is necessary for technical reasons to allow applications to be updated without the user's administrative rights.
The service must be stopped manually and can then be removed with the command sc delete "STP.Updater ClientUpdateService" in the command prompt started as an administrator.
Note
The complete uninstallation should only be performed by experienced administrators.
How to Uninstall the STP.Updater Client
To uninstall the STP.Updater Client, follow these steps: 1. Exit the STP.Updater Client application. Right-click the icon in the taskbar and select "Exit".
Stop the Windows service STP.Updater ClientUpdateService.
Uninstall the STP.Updater Client program through the Windows Control Panel.

Open the command prompt with the option "Run as administrator" and enter the following command:
sc delete "STP.Updater ClientUpdateService".
Press the [Enter] key.
Delete the program directory of the STP.Updater Client.
Note
Perform a complete uninstallation only if no other STP products are installed on the computer.

STP Documents and winsolvenz.p4 require this service to update client applications on workstations.
For the automatic update of STP Documents or winsolvenz.p4 clients, the service STP ClientUpdate Service must be running.
Open the command prompt with the option "Run as administrator" and enter the following command:
sc delete "STP ClientUpdate Service".
Press the [Enter] key.
Note
The services STP.Updater ClientUpdateService and STP ClientUpdate Service are not the same.
The service STP.Updater ClientUpdateService is part of the STP.Updater Client.
The service STP ClientUpdate Service was part of earlier versions of the winsolvenz.p4 or STP Documents client application.
