In the register structure management, you can
- Create templates for register structures,
- Edit templates for register structures,
- Delete templates for register structures,
- Define templates for one or more file and folder types,
- Define templates as mandatory for one or more file and folder types.
Terms
Register
Registers are subdirectories within a file or folder. Documents can be stored in registers according to additional sorting criteria. In the "Edit Document Data" window, documents can be placed in a register of a file during the "Register" step.
Register Structure
The register structure defines a tree structure of registers for a file or folder. The register structure specifies the names, numbering, and order of the registers. Each file or folder can be assigned a register structure in the file or folder management. During the "Register" step in the "File Data" or "Folder Data" window, register structures can be created, edited, and deleted for each file or folder.
Template for a Register Structure
A template for a register structure defines a tree structure of registers that is not yet assigned to any file or folder. The register structure specifies the names, numbering, and order of the registers. During the "Register Structure" step in the "File Data" or "Folder Data" window, a template for register structures can be selected for each file and folder. Register structures created from templates can be further customized in the file or folder management.
