Delete Documents from the STP Documents Archive
A deleted document cannot be restored.
Documents are permanently deleted on the server. Therefore, you will not receive any confirmation when the documents have been successfully deleted.
If a document cannot be deleted, you will receive a notification in your Inbox in the STP Documents dashboard.
To delete a document, the logged-in user must be assigned one of the roles System Administrator or Document Administrator through a group.
To delete documents from STP Documents, follow these steps:

Select the documents you want to delete in the document list and open the context menu with a right-click.
You can select and delete multiple documents in the document list.

Left-click on "Administration" > "Delete" in the context menu.
If many documents are selected, a modal dialog with a progress indicator will open.

If any of the selected documents still have pending tasks, a query window will appear.

Confirm the deletion by clicking the Button Yes.
A security prompt will appear.

Click the Button Yes to delete all selected documents.
If many documents are selected, a modal dialog with a progress indicator will open.

If you now click the Button Cancel, no documents will be deleted. Unlocking the documents will then be executed in a background process.

Click the Button Close.
Right-click on the Trash in the STP Documents dashboard and select "Trash (All Users)" from the context menu.
All documents marked "To be deleted" will be loaded into the document list.
Press the [F6] key to refresh the search results in the document list. On the "Trash (All Users)" tab, the number of documents marked for deletion is displayed. The number will decrease until the permanent deletion is complete.
The search results in the trash will not be empty after the permanent deletion if there are still other documents marked for deletion besides those in the deletion order.
By removing the deletion mark in the document list or through document management, a document can be removed from the deletion order. Documents without a deletion mark will not be permanently deleted.
If a document has already been permanently deleted on the server, it cannot be restored by removing the deletion mark.
When removing the deletion mark, you will receive the following message:

In the "Error Cause" column, it states: "User has no access or document not present in database."
The document has already been permanently deleted or you only have read access rights.
Click the Button Cancel to close the message window. Press the [F6] key to refresh the search results in the document list.
If the document is no longer displayed, it has been permanently deleted.
If the document is displayed, you only have read access rights.
Documents should NOT be deleted if
the user is not an administrator or does not have full access rights assigned
older versions are selected
the user does not have write access to any of the selected documents
any of the selected documents are finalized
any of the selected documents are locked.
You can mark documents for deletion or drag and drop them into the trash on the dashboard. Documents marked for deletion are not displayed in the document list. In the trash or through document management, the documents can be restored by removing the deletion mark.
Documents marked for deletion can be deleted through document management in the office settings.
To permanently delete a document marked for deletion in document management, the logged-in user must be assigned the role of System Administrator or Document Administrator through a group.
Select "Permanently Delete" from the context menu of the trash to permanently delete all documents in the trash.
