User and group management for STP Documents is preferably done through the STP User Management. It is used to create and manage users and groups for STP Documents, STP Lexolution (formerly LEXolution.KMS), and winsolvenz.p4.
Through the role management in STP Documents, groups contained in the All DMS (<System ID>) group from the STP User Management can be assigned predefined roles.
Note
The system ID is the string defined for the Service Bus in the server's configuration file (STP.Ecm.Remoting Server.exe.config) using the parameter LsbIdentifier.
(Default=main)
Users
All STP Documents users must be created as users in the STP User Management. Users already existing in STP Documents will be automatically transferred to the STP User Management and assigned to the group All DMS (<System ID>) when updating to the current version.
Groups
All groups to which roles are to be assigned in STP Documents must already be created in the STP User Management. Groups already existing in STP Documents will be automatically transferred to the STP User Management and assigned to the group All DMS (<System ID>) when updating to the current version.
Note
Roles can only be assigned to groups. Group users together and assign the desired roles to the group.
All
- The Administrators group no longer exists after switching to the STP User Management.
- The access rights defined for this group are transferred to the new group Administrators DMS (<System ID>).
Administrators DMS (<System ID>)
- The roles of System Administrator, Specialist Administrator, and Document Administrator are permanently assigned to the Administrators group. These roles cannot be removed, but additional roles can be assigned.
- The group has full access rights to all objects in STP Documents.
- Users assigned to the Administrators group can manage all areas and documents in STP Documents.
- The Administrators group cannot be deleted.

All DMS (<System ID>)
- The group All DMS (<System ID>) with the substituted system LEXolutionDmsServer_<System ID> includes all users and groups from STP Documents.
- If no access rights are assigned to an object in STP Documents, this group receives full access rights to the object.
Restricted Rights
Users configured with restricted rights in the STP User Management do not receive access rights through the All DMS (<System ID>) group. Access rights to files, documents, processes, search profiles, etc., for these users must be granted manually.
