To improve workflow, several controls have been developed as add-ins:
- MS Outlook (Outlook DESK)
- MS Word (Office Integration)
- MS Excel (Office Integration)
- MS PowerPoint (Integration)
- etc.
The Pro Client serves as the user interface for these controls.
The DMS Pro Client does not yet have all the functions of the Standard DESK, which it is intended to replace at an unspecified time.
For this reason, you also have access to the Standard DESK.
DMS Pro Client as a mandatory alternative for certain components of the Outlook DESK
In the DMS Pro Client AND the Outlook DESK, the Commander (search engine for files, folders, and documents), the Document List, and the Preview are generally available.
When using a 32-bit version of Microsoft Outlook, the Commander, Document List, and Preview should be disabled in the Outlook DESK and used ONLY in the DMS Pro Client, as otherwise the following issues may occur:
- Memory overload
- Crashes of Microsoft Outlook, leading to data loss.
The functionality for importing emails remains unchanged when the Commander, Document List, and Preview are disabled in the Outlook DESK.
