Update

  • The update of the STP Common Services, the server, and the terminal servers is done through the installation programs.
  • The update of the STP-Documents database is done through the server setup.
  • The update of the workstations is done through the installation programs or the STP.Updater Client.

Download Area

All downloads for STP Documents are password protected.

To update STP Documents, download the following files from the download area of STP Information Technology:

  • STPCommonServices.zip
  • LEXolution.DMS_Server.zip
  • LEXolution.DMS_Standard_DESK.zip
  • LEXolution.DMS_Client_App_Service.zip
  • LEXolution.DMS_Office_Integration.zip
  • LEXolution.DMS_Outlook_DESK.zip

Extract the directories and files to a local directory.

.NET Framework

The .NET Framework 4.8 must be installed or enabled on the server.

To avoid restarting the computers during the update of STP Documents, the .NET Framework can be installed before the update.

If .NET Framework 4.8 is not installed before the update, the computer will be restarted during the update by the setup after the .NET Framework is installed as a prerequisite.

Note
Install the .NET Framework 4.8 on the server, especially if the STP.Updater Server is installed on a different computer.

Note
The .NET Framework is part of the operating system in some Windows versions and therefore cannot be installed. It must be enabled as a feature through the Windows program or server management.

Please perform the update of the STP-Documents components in this order if possible:

  • Server
    • Update STP Common Services
    • Update server
    • Prepare STP.Updater Repository
  • Terminal Server
    • Update Standard DESK through setup
    • Update Client App Service through setup
    • Update Outlook DESK through setup
    • Update Office Integration Add-In through setup
  • Workstations
    • Start STP.Updater Client
