To start the Firm settings in STP Documents, you need to be assigned to the Administrators group or log in with the role of System, Specialist, or Document Administrator.
Logging into the Firm settings is only possible with a valid STP Documents password. Empty STP Documents passwords are not allowed here.
However, logging in without a valid STP Documents password is allowed for users who have logged into STP Documents as Windows users and have been assigned all three necessary roles.
Users who have been assigned all three necessary roles, such as all members of the Administrators group, can open the Firm settings without logging in.
Users who have been assigned at least one of the three necessary roles can open the Firm settings without logging in again. To do this, click the Current User button in the login dialog.
For some configuration options, the logged-in user must also be assigned the role of File Administrator through a group. The Administrators group is not assigned the File Administrator role.
If you log into the Firm settings with an incorrect password or without providing an STP Documents password, you will receive the following message:
