Note
To display the feature area, the feature preview must be enabled in the Pro Client settings.
The note area for a document builds from the bottom up over the preview.
This is what the note area looks like when there are no notes. The counter is at zero.
Click the + button to create the first note for the document displayed in the preview.
The "New Note" window will open.
After creating the note, it will be displayed in the note area.
You can create as many notes as you like. If there are more than seven notes, the area will have a scrollbar.
Metadata is displayed above each note: the page the note refers to, the date and time it was created.
Clicking on the page number will display the corresponding page in the preview.
Hovering over the note's metadata with your mouse will display a hint: it shows who created the note.
Clicking on a note will display the page of the document in the document preview that the note refers to.
If the note doesn't reference a specific page, the preview remains unchanged.
Click the (expand) button in the gray header of the note area to minimize it.
Use the (collapse) button to show the notes again. If there are a lot of notes, a scrollbar will appear.
The context menu of a note
Each note has a context menu with the following functions:
- "Comment on note": opens the "Comment on Note" window.
- "Open": opens the note and, if applicable, its comments in a separate window. Editing the note and its comments is not possible.
- "Delete": deletes the current note after confirming a security prompt. This option is only available if it has been enabled in the office settings.
