You have the option to manage users and user groups centrally in the STP User Management. The advantage of this centralized management is that you can also centrally manage users for other software products like Lexolution.DMS. Additionally, centralized user management is a prerequisite for upcoming features such as rights transfer between two systems.
During installation, you can decide whether to use centralized user management or traditional user management. If you choose centralized user management, existing users and user groups from Lexolution will be transferred to STP User Management when the KMS server starts. In Lexolution, you can then only make specific settings in user management, such as employee assignments or assigning functional rights. All other settings, like assigning user abbreviations, will then take place exclusively in STP User Management.
If errors occur during the initial transfer, the transfer of users and user groups can be manually restarted using the Resync button in the Users view.
Please refer to the separate documentation of STP User Management for the application description of centralized user management.
