This view is where you configure the types of services available to you when recording services.
Service types are categorized in Lexolution. Each service type must be assigned to a service category. The service categories include File Activity, Vehicle, Copy/File, Management Activity, Tax-Free Expense, Taxable Expense, and Daily and Absence Allowance. You can configure your own service types for the categories File Activity, Management Activity, and Tax-Free Expense. The categories Vehicle, Copy/File, Taxable Expense, and Daily and Absence Allowance are currently fixed in the current version.
Using the Allow and Block buttons, you can activate or deactivate list entries. Only activated service types are available to you in the selection lists when recording services.
Abbreviation
Enter an abbreviation for the service type here. The abbreviation simplifies service recording by allowing you to type the assigned abbreviation instead of selecting from a list.
Service Category
You can choose between File Activity, Management Activity, and Tax-Free Expense.
RVG Assignment
The RVG assignments are not configurable in the current version.
Designations
Here you assign a designation to the service type and, if needed, a description template that can be overwritten as a default suggestion during service recording.
You can provide language translations. The translations will be automatically applied during service recording and invoicing based on the selected language.
Example of Translation
You create a new service type with the abbreviation AB in the service category File Activity. The German designation is Abstimmung, and the English designation is vote. You activate the service type by clicking the Allow button.
Now, when you record an activity, the newly configured service type appears in the selection list, or you can simply select it using the abbreviation AB. If the time entry is in German, the service type is called Abstimmung; if the language is English, the translation vote is displayed.
