General Settings (Services)

Performance

Manually Complete Activities

Here you can set whether saved activities are automatically completed during performance recording or if they are initially saved with the status Open.

Open time entries cannot be included in a draft invoice. This ensures that the recorded times are first checked for content and then manually completed before being included in a draft invoice.

Complete Times Without a Stored Rate

Here you determine whether a validation for a stored external rate occurs when completing times.

The validation is mandatory at the latest when adding a time as an hourly position to a draft invoice.

Check Inventory, Valuation Date for Open Booking Periods

When this option is active, no inventory-changing action can be performed with a date from a closed booking period.

Time Recording Plausibility Check

Here you can configure a time limit for time recording. For example, you can specify that the user cannot record time that is in the future or more than 2 weeks in the past. This setting affects time recording and is intended to prevent times from being accidentally recorded far in the future due to a typo in the year and then not billed.

File

Standard Timing

Here you can specify the firm-wide standard timing for billable hours. The timing can be individually adjusted at the hourly position level.

Round Industrial Hours

You can set the firm-wide rounding of industrial hours. When rounding is enabled, Lexolution uses values rounded to the second decimal place system-wide when converting time hours to industrial hours. For example, converting recorded 02:20 time hours results in a value of 2.33 industrial hours instead of an unrounded 2.333333333333.

If you display your hourly invoices in industrial hours, we recommend enabling the rounding of industrial hours. The timing is unaffected by the rounding.

Existing invoices and draft invoices are not changed by enabling the rounding of industrial hours.

Check Conflict Status

If you have enabled this setting, you can only record times and expenses on your file if you have previously completed the first conflict check for this file, meaning you have accepted or rejected the conflict check.

Check Conflict Status for Additional Conflict Checks

If you have enabled this setting, the restrictions on performance recording from the section Check Conflict Status apply to every additional conflict check performed.

When Responsibility is Selected, the Employee is Automatically Added to the File

If a time entry is transferred from Lexolution.TIME to Lexolution and the employee is not yet listed as responsible in the KMS file, you can configure here with what responsibility the employee should be systemically added to the file. This offers the advantage that users do not have to manually and individually update responsibilities for each of these entries.
