Input Management provides various options for deleting documents from the system.
General information
Retention period
Retention period
is the duration for which documents are retained in the system before being permanently deleted. This ensures data remains available for a set period to meet regulatory or operational requirements. Once the retention period elapses, the document information gets permanently deleted from the system. For manually deleted and for transferred documents, dedicated settings are available where an authorized user (a member ofIM.Employee.TenantAdministrator
group) can configure the retention period.Administration/Settings
- This section allows the retention period for documents moved to Recycle bin to be configured. It is configurable in days, with a default value of31 days
if not specifically set.Administration/Pipeline/Retention period
- This section allows the retention period for Transferred Documents to be configured. It is configurable in days, with a default value of31 days
if not specifically set.
Deletion
- Documents that have been deleted are no longer accessible to users
but remain retained in the system and can be restored if needed (See
Documents recovery
section for details). A nightly job automatically checks for documents that reached the end of the retention perdiod and permanently deletes them.
Documents recovery
- Deleted documents from the system can be recovered within
31 days
by technical support.
Document Deletion Options
Single document view
- Documents opened for editing can be moved to the
Recycle Bin
view by using theMove to Recycle Bin
button (red trash can icon). Once moved there, they will be available for the specified Recycle bin retention period.
Documents list overview
- Single, multiple or all documents from the list overview can be
moved to the
Recycle Bin
by using theDelete
orMove to Recycle Bin
buttons (red trash can icon). Once moved there, they will be available for the specified Recycle bin retention period.
Recycle bin
- Documents from this view can be deleted either manually or
automatically. Single, multiple or all documents from the view can be
deleted manually by using the
Delete
orDelete selection permanently
buttons (red trash can icon). Documents that have reached the end of the Recycle bin retention period (as indicated inRetention End
column) gets automatically deleted by a nightly system job. Recycle bin retention period is configurable by an authorized user (a member ofIM.Employee.TenantAdministrator
group) inAdministration/Settings

Faulty Documents
