The Ribbon

Function Description

The ribbon contains different function groups depending on the selected navigation point.
Only the functions applicable to the selected object are shown as active in the ribbon.
There is a distinction between general and specific function groups.
The following explains the general function groups, while the specific function groups are discussed in the respective section of each navigation point.

General Function Groups in the Ribbon

The general function groups in the ribbon appear in almost every view, behave identically, and have the same keyboard shortcuts.
A list of the different keyboard shortcuts can be found in this manual under
Ergonomics Concept Keyboard Shortcuts.

Manage

The Manage group includes the functions New, Edit, Delete, Save, and Cancel.
Objects, such as a file or contacts, can be created, edited, and possibly deleted.

The Navigation History includes a Back button.
You can switch from one object to another in the application via the context menu.
The system logs your path in a navigation history, and you can navigate back step by step using the Back button.
The navigation history and the current view title are displayed in the view title using so-called breadcrumbs.

Search

In every program view, you can search, for example, for a file to go directly to the file view of that file, or search by invoice number or recipient to go directly to the respective invoice in the invoice view.
You will also find the Advanced Search button (large magnifying glass icon), which allows for a complex search for objects and their properties.

Filter

In the Filter group, you can filter by location and employee—either separately or combined.
The default filter setting is based on the location assigned to the logged-in user.
The filters are based on the employee or location of the object in the list. For example, in the Invoices menu, the filter is based on the invoice's location.
The invoice location is the file location at the time the invoice is finalized.
If the file location is changed later, the invoice location remains the same.
The location-employee filter only shows employees assigned to the selected location.
You can expand the selection in the employee selection to include inactive employees and employees assigned to a different location.
