The invoice journal provides a list of invoices, credit notes, and cancellations in chronological order for a specific period.
Each document gets its own line.
A colored icon at the beginning of the line and the Payment Status column show you the payment status of each invoice. Green invoices are fully paid, orange ones are partially paid, and red ones are unpaid. Credit notes do not have a payment status.
The default setting for the period filter is the current calendar year. When you run the query, empty filter values in the period filter are filled with the corresponding values of the posting periods.
All filters are additive.
You can also filter by location, invoice HVRA, file, and invoice number.
If the "Partial Invoices" filter is not active, only collective invoices are displayed. When the filter is active, only partial invoices are shown.
The "Invoice Status" filter can also be used for selection. By default, the invoice status is set to "Completed." If the invoice status is set to "In Progress" or "Finished," invoice drafts are displayed.
When displaying invoice drafts, the values shown in the invoice draft can be changed. All amounts are displayed in the base currency. If no invoice type is specified, the invoice amount is shown as 0.00. The invoice date and posting period are not fully updated.
The value in the Gross Amount column is calculated as follows:
Gross Amount = Tax-free Expenses + Net Amount + VAT
The VAT ID is displayed from the invoice.
The "Invoice No." column shows the number of the invoice, credit note, or cancellation.
The following values can be displayed in the Type column:
- Invoice
- Collective or Partial Invoice
- Split Invoice
- Credit Note
- Cancellation
- Cumulative
The totals are displayed when you click the Calculate Totals button.
Through the context menu, you can switch to the file view, invoice views, or transaction journal view.
