Individuals and authorities allow the creation of natural persons and authorities (e.g., courts). In the master data, you can store personal information such as gender, ID number, or the issuing authority.
You can enter the VAT ID number and have it checked by Lexolution. The verification is two-tiered. In the first stage, the number format is checked. In the second stage, a validity check is performed against the eVAT interface of the Federal Central Tax Office.
You can also conduct a qualified check of the VAT ID number. The verification is carried out in the same two-tiered manner as the simple VAT ID check.
You can also enter the contact's tax number. This is a free-entry field without specific format requirements.
You can find more information on searching for and creating natural persons or authorities in the Organizations chapter.
Always record the complete contact details before creating a file. This way, you can quickly link to the respective contact when setting up files.
To avoid duplicates, you must first search all contacts before adding participants to a file, before a new contact can be recorded. The search result shows you the contact based on the address. That is, a contact with three addresses will appear three times in the list with the respective address data. The contact is uniquely identified by the contact number. This ensures that you select the correct contact based on the address. The vCard address is marked in the list with an icon.
