You can link the Lexolution.DMS file and document management system from STP AG to Lexolution to keep your firm files securely accessible anytime and anywhere.
By connecting the document management system, your Lexolution files are automatically created in the Lexolution.DMS application and indexed with data such as file status, file number, file name, client, opponent, responsible attorney, main legal area, file category, and file register.
If you change file data in Lexolution, the changes are directly updated in Lexolution.DMS.
All documents generated for the file are conveniently and clearly stored in the file's register. Through the KMS view file register, you have direct access to the file and its documents, including document previews, with Lexolution.DMS in the Pro version. You can use extensive DMS functionalities directly in the file register view, such as creating a single task or creating a new document version.
Documents
The following documents are automatically stored in Lexolution.DMS and provided with the index values title, file register, document number, and document type:
- File cover sheet
- Invoice draft
- Invoice
- Credit note
- Cancellation credit note
- Reminder
- Documents created and saved via the Word entry point.
Editing Documents
You can access the documents anytime from KMS using the available Open button or through the file's file register. Lexolution opens the documents from Lexolution.DMS. If you make changes to the document and save it, depending on the settings in Lexolution.DMS, a new version of the document is created, the original document is overwritten, or a prompt for manual selection of these options is displayed. Consequently, your documents are always consistent, and you see the latest version of the document regardless of which application you open and edit it from.
Managing Access Rights
If you have linked Lexolution.DMS Pro to Lexolution, the access rights stored in KMS files are automatically entered into the corresponding DMS files. Lexolution is the leading system in this case. A subsequent change of access rights directly in a DMS file is not transferred back to Lexolution.
