If two-factor authentication is active, a user can configure it in their user profile. You can access it by clicking the user icon in the upper right corner of the STP Cloud. Clicking on it brings up a menu with the first menu item 'Profile'. Select this option.
Configuration in the User Profile
The user can access the two-factor settings through the 'Security' menu item on the left side. In the 'STP Identity Provider' section, the user can set up two-factor authentication for themselves.
With the small switch, they can enable or disable the second factor, unless it has been made mandatory by their administrator.
The configuration is saved by clicking the 'Save' button.
Choosing Your MFA Method
Depending on which MFA methods have been enabled by your administrator, you can choose either TOTP or Email as your preferred method.
Click Save to apply your selection and use it for your next login.
If TOTP has been activated for your account, you can also restart the MFA setup if needed. This will initiate the process during your next login, allowing you to configure an app (e.g., Microsoft Authenticator or Google Authenticator) for the second factor. This is useful if, for example, the user wants to use a new smartphone.
