Purpose of this Handout
This handout explains the technical background and the necessary configurations required to use the KMS Inso interface.
It is primarily intended for administrators who need to be able to fully set up the systems.
Technical Background
The interface connects the systems winsolvenz.p4 and LEXolution.KMS/LEXolution.FoMa.
This allows cases with debtors to be forwarded for collection efficiently and easily.
Cases can be automatically transferred from winsolvenz.p4 to LEXolution. In LEXolution.KMS, a corresponding KMS insolvency file is created for each case, including all involved parties and responsible persons, so there’s no need to create files and contacts twice.
The same applies to the ability to automatically transfer debtors from winsolvenz.p4 to LEXolution.
A KMS file is created in LEXolution.KMS for each debtor.
This file is linked as a sub-file to the main case file.
This eliminates the need to create files and contacts twice, which is a significant time-saver given the large number of debtor claims that can exist in a single case.
Additionally, debtor claims (one or more per debtor) are automatically transferred to the corresponding KMS files in LEXolution.KMS.
The claims can be viewed in LEXolution.KMS and, if needed, further transferred to LEXolution.FoMa.
There’s no need to re-enter the claims in LEXolution.FoMa, so duplicate entries are avoided.
Configuration in winsolvenz.4
Program Base/License
A KMS Inso export requires winsolvenz.p4 version 10.1 or higher; exporting from winsolvenz.p3 is not possible.
An Enterprise license for winsolvenz.p4 must be available at the firm for the export.
Employee Code for Administrator
Under Settings/Administrator in winsolvenz P4, an employee with an employee code must be entered for the insolvency administrators. This code must match the employee code of a lead attorney in LEXolution.
The code is alphanumeric and can be up to five characters long.
Fig. Entering employee code in winsolvenz P4
System Settings
Under Settings/Firm/General Settings, you need to enter the URL for the Lexolution interface and the AppID.
The settings are called
KLexolution Interface External App-ID and Lexolution Interface URL
The URL is structured as “http://[Servername_KMS]:[Port]”
Server name: The server where the Lexolution server service is running.
Port number: The port where the external Lexolution interface is running (default is 8002).
Fig. URL and APP-ID in winsolvenz P4
The external App-ID must be created in LEXolution under Administration/System/ at System Administration/External Applications.
This must match the APP-ID in winsolvenz, or if not present, be taken from lexolution.
The APP-ID itself has no functional significance and is only used for matching.
It can be any GUID.
Role/Permission for Export
The employee designated for export must be assigned the Export LEXolution role under Settings/Users. This role is a so-called combination role, meaning the user must have at least one other role assigned (even if the user already has one of the administrator roles).

Exporting winsolvenz.p4 Insolvency Files as Case Files in LEXolution
- Exporting directly from a case or file is possible.
- One or more files can be exported at once.
- Each file can only be exported once.
- Once a file has been exported, this is indicated by a checkmark in the Exported LEXolution column.
The export includes data about the case, the debtor, and the debtor’s attorney (if represented). The court and the insolvency administrator are also exported.
Exporting winsolvenz.p4 Debtors as Collection Files in LEXolution
It is possible to export one or more debtors from Assets/Debtors along with the selected claims.
If no claim has been created yet, it is also possible to export just the address data.
Each address and each claim can only be exported once.
Whether a claim has been exported is visible in the grid in the Ford-Einzug Status column and in the field with the same name in the lower right detail section.
If the directory position contains “Challenge,” the claim is treated as a challenge claim for export.
For all other directory positions, the claim is treated as a collection claim for export.
For collection and claim files, claims of the same type are grouped into one file if they are exported at the same time.
Claims that have not yet been exported can be exported later in a subsequent batch.
Configuration in LEXolution
Program Base/License
LEXolution supports imports from winsolvenz P4 starting with version 5.3 FP1.
In the “STP.Kms.Server.exe.config” file, the following key must be set to value 1:
<add key\="IsExternalCommunicationServiceEnabled" value\="1"></add\>
Configure winsolvenz.p4 as an External Application
Under Administration/System/External Applications, you need to assign an application ID for winsolvenz.p4.
Fig. External Applications
Important: The App-ID in Lexolution must match the one assigned in winsolvenz.p4 under
Settings/Firm/General Settingsas the Lexolution(KMS) interface external application ID.
winsolvenz.p4 Users in LEXolution
winsolvenz.p4 users who perform exports must be created in LEXolution with the same username (including any domain prefix).
Administration/User Management/Users/ e.g., rnd2025 as shown in the figure.
Fig. Users
Lead Attorney
The administrator can be found in winsolvenz under Settings/Administrator and (technically) corresponds to the lead attorney (HVRA) in Lexolution.
The administrator specified in the winsolvenz file, to whom the case and collection files are exported, must have the same employee code as the one specified for the HVRA in Lexolution. > Employee code: max five characters, alphanumeric

Functional Rights for Import
The following functional rights are available for import:

Legal Areas
The legal areas “Civil Law” and “Insolvency Law” must be created under
Administration/General/Legal Areas.
In the filter, “File Legal Areas” must be selected.
“Insolvency Law” is assigned to the case file and to collection files in case of a challenge during import.
“Civil Law” is assigned to collection files that are not under challenge.
Locations
The location used by the administrator in winsolvenz must also exist in Lexolution.
This refers to the administrator’s office location.
File Participation Types
This setting is found under Administration/General/Participation Types. The participation types “Representative,” “Debtor,” and “Insolvency Administrator” must be created.
Important: If other participation types are defined in winsolvenz, these must also be created in Lexolution.
These can be created as needed in winsolvenz.
If a participation type is missing, you will be notified with the name of the missing type during export to Lexolution.

File Number Range
The file number range is created under Administration/Number Ranges as type File Number.
The abbreviation WZ must be used and the number range must be enabled.
