How a user can sign in with social login

Overview

If your organization’s administrator has enabled Social Login for your tenant, you will see provider buttons (e.g., Google, Microsoft, LinkedIn, Facebook) on the tenant’s login page. You can sign in using one of these providers instead of entering a password.

You can’t use social login on the common subdomain, please use your tenant-specific subdomain.

Requirement (important) Your STP Cloud user account must exist and its email address must exactly match the email of your social account (e.g., your Google/Microsoft email). Otherwise, sign-in will be rejected.

How to sign in

  1. Go to your tenant’s login page.
  2. Click the button (e.g., Google).
  3. Choose your account and complete the provider’s prompts.
  4. If your organization requires it, complete MFA.
  5. You will be redirected back to STP Cloud.

Troubleshooting

  • Unknown user / We could not find the user Your STP Cloud user may not exist or the email does not match your social account. Ask your admin to create/link your user with the same email.
  • MFA requested This is expected if your tenant policy requires MFA, even after social sign-in.
  • Sign out Use Sign out in STP Cloud. This does not sign you out of your provider account.
