While the Universal API provides application access to cour cloud-based document capabilities, there are also some frontend components used by other STP applications.
Preview
When a document is displayed using our PreviewElement within the context of another application, the user needs Documents3.Users permissions (since access is provided via the Universal API). Additionally, it is important to consider where the document is actually stored.
- If the document is stored in Documents-OnPremise, the permissions from Mobile DESK and DMS OnPremise apply.
- If the document is stored in Documents-Cloud, the user needs to be part of the Documents2.Users group and must have read permissions either on the document itself or on an associated context.
