Requirements
- The setup of the STP OnPremise Connector (OPC) is available.
- An active STP Cloud Tenant is set up but is not yet connected to an OPC.
Preparation in the Cloud
For the OPC to connect to the STP Cloud, it needs access information for secure authentication. This information can be retrieved directly from the STP Cloud interface.
Steps to Provide Access Information
- Log in to the STP Cloud.
- Navigate to “All Applications” and select “Tenant Admin”.
- In the left navigation bar, go to the “On-premises” section.
- If the tenant is not yet connected to an OPC, a page will appear where you can generate and download the access data.

If a different view appears here, an OPC may already be configured and connected to the tenant.
Reconfiguring would overwrite the existing connection.
It is recommended to check and possibly back up the current configuration before setting it up again.
Clicking the “Connect” button will generate and display new connection data for the OPC.
This data is required to establish secure communication between the OPC and the STP Cloud.

The three lines marked in red contain the necessary connection parameters:
- TenantId
- TenantUserName
- TenantPassword
Please save this information securely, as it cannot be displayed again.
These values correspond to the entries in the OPC configuration file
STP.OnPremise.Connector.exe.config in the installation directory.
You can either replace the lines directly in the file or enter the values individually.
Installation of the OPC
Start the current setup file:
STP OnPremise Connector-<version>.exe
Example: STP OnPremise Connector-1.6.35.0.exe

Click “Next” to proceed to the configuration page.

The following settings are made here:

Confirm your entries with “Next”.

Click “Install” to start the installation.
After completion, the Finish Page will be displayed.

Starting the OPC
The OPC is started as a Windows Service via the service management.

After successful installation, a group appears in User Management:
CloudAccess-<TenantSubdomain>
Here, <TenantSubdomain> is replaced by the name of the tenant subdomain.

If the OPC is correctly connected, the connection status and statistics will be displayed in Tenant Admin under “On-premises”.
