Role and Group Management

Overview

User roles in beA Desk are managed through the central STP User Management.

Users are assigned to predefined groups that determine their functional permissions within beA Desk.

Role Concept

beA Desk uses subgroups of the main group “beA”.

Each subgroup represents a functional role.

These roles do not replace permissions in the BRAK system, but rather supplement them.

Available Roles

beA Office Manager

  • Can create and manage mailboxes
  • Can assign permissions for mailboxes
  • Has administrative rights in beA Desk

beA Attorney

  • Can create message drafts
  • Can send and receive messages (depending on BRAK permissions)

beA Caseworker

  • Can create message drafts
  • Can send and receive messages (depending on BRAK permissions)

beA Secretariat

  • Can create message drafts
  • Can send and receive messages (depending on BRAK permissions)

Important Notes

Note
Permissions to send and receive messages are ultimately controlled by the BRAK system, not by beA Desk.

Note
Changes to a user's group assignment may take up to 5 minutes to take effect in beA Desk.
