Options for Integrating LEXolution with MS Exchange (Mail, Calendar)
Due to the various communication methods available, there are several ways to integrate LEXolution with MS Exchange.
A distinction is made between a cloud environment (Exchange 365) and an on-premises environment (Exchange Server). Exchange 365 is a solution hosted via the STP Cloud, while on-premises Exchange is hosted locally on the company's own servers.
If you use other STP products alongside LEXolution, such as Legal Twin (conflict checking via phonetic similarity search), access via the STP Cloud is recommended in all cases.
Appointments, deadlines, and follow-up reminders managed in LEXolution can be connected to the Exchange environment, making them available in MS Outlook and on mobile devices. Even when using the STP Cloud, a direct synchronization with the Exchange 365 server is used.
For appointments, communication is bidirectional; for deadlines and follow-up reminders, it is one-way (from LEXolution to Exchange).
In addition, features such as sending emails directly from LEXolution, invoice delivery, and automatic notifications from the reporting database to a configured email address can be set up via Direct Email.
The following options are available:
- Integration via iDesk (for on-premises Exchange connections)
- Direct connection to Exchange 365 (appointments, deadlines, follow-up reminders)
- Integration via the STP Cloud with Exchange 365 (email)
- Email delivery (notifications from the reporting database)
