Overview of Lexolution Integration with MS Exchange

Options for Connecting Lexolution to MS Exchange (Mail, Calendar)

Due to different communication methods, there are several ways to connect Lexolution to MS Exchange.

Here, we distinguish between a cloud environment (Exchange 365) and an on-premises environment (Exchange Server). Exchange 365 is a solution that runs through the STP Cloud, while on-premises Exchange is operated locally on your company's own servers.

If you use other STP products to complement Lexolution, such as Legal Twin (conflict check with phonetic match analysis), we strongly recommend accessing via the STP Cloud.

Appointments, deadlines, and reminders managed in Lexolution can be connected to the Exchange environment, making them available in MS Outlook and on mobile devices. Even when using the STP Cloud, a direct sync with the Exchange 365 server is used.

For appointments, communication is two-way; for deadlines and reminders, it is one-way (from Lexolution to Exchange).

Additionally, you can set up direct email sending from Lexolution, such as for sending invoices, and have reports from the analytics database automatically sent to a configured email address via Direct Email.

The following options are available:

• Connection via iDesk (for on-premises Exchange integration)
• Direct connection to Exchange 365 (appointments, deadlines, reminders)
• Connection through the STP Cloud to Exchange 365 (mail)
• Direct Email sending (notifications from the analytics database)
