Lexolution Email Notifications from the Evaluation Database

The iDesk is a standalone service for connecting to an MS Exchange Server (on-premises), which is linked to Lexolution.KMS.

The configuration for this is done, as before, in the configuration file of the Lexolution server.

To do this, follow these steps:

In the “IDesk/Exchange Connector” section of the configuration file, a calendar user must be defined.

The ExchangeKmsCalendarUser is a technical user; a regular user without special permissions can be used here.
However, it is essential for communication with Exchange Online.
This user is used to check whether a user with the employee's email address exists in the global address book of Exchange.

*Communication via the Lexolution Exchange connection is handled through STP Integration Services. The settings are made in the configuration file of the STP Integration Services.
Please refer to the installation guide and technical documentation for the STP Integration Services Server.

• If you want to use the connection to Microsoft Exchange Server, please contact the service team at STP Informationstechnologie GmbH.

• This feature should only be activated in coordination with the service team at STP Informationstechnologie GmbH.

• The connection between Microsoft Exchange Server and STP Integration Services must not be blocked or interfered with by antivirus software or firewalls.

• To enable the connection to Microsoft Exchange Server, STP Integration Services must be started under a domain user configured in Lexolution.

• Each employee's contact information must include a valid email address for a mailbox on the Exchange Server in the E-Mail field. This line must be enabled as a VCard.

• The Exchange Server manages mailboxes and email addresses and makes them available to email clients (e.g., Outlook). To use the Lexolution Exchange connection, an impersonation user must be created and configured on the Exchange Server.

• Firms using the Exchange integration must restart the SIS Server service after every Lexolution update.

The following steps assume that STP Integration Services has a working connection to Microsoft Exchange Server.
