LEXolution Connection to iDESK

The iDesk is a standalone service for connecting to an MS Exchange Server (on-premises), which is integrated with LEXolution.KMS.

The settings for this are configured in the LEXolution Server configuration file.
The entry in the LEXolution Server configuration file under the IDesk/Exchange Connector section

<!-- IDesk/Exchange Connector Settings -->
<add key="ExchangeKmsCalendarUser" value="User.Kalender@exchange365XXX.onmicrosoft.com"

is obsolete as of LEXolution version 9.5. Starting with version 9.5, LEXolution automatically creates a group calendar.

*Communication via the LEXolution Exchange integration is handled through STP Integration Services. Settings are configured in the STP Integration Services configuration file.

STP Integration Services 1.9.110 Installation Guide

  • If you wish to use the Microsoft Exchange Server integration, please contact STP Informationstechnologie GmbH support.

  • This feature should only be enabled in coordination with STP Informationstechnologie GmbH support.

  • The connection between Microsoft Exchange Server and STP Integration Services must not be blocked or interfered with by antivirus software or a firewall.

  • To enable the Microsoft Exchange Server integration, STP Integration Services must be started under a domain user configured in LEXolution.

  • In each employee's contact details, a valid email address for a mailbox on the Exchange Server must be entered in the Email field. This entry must be enabled as a VCard.

  • The Exchange Server manages mailboxes and email addresses and makes them available to email clients (e.g., Outlook). To use the LEXolution Exchange integration, an impersonation user must be created and configured on the Exchange Server.

  • Law firms using the Exchange integration must also restart the SIS Server service after every LEXolution update.

The following steps assume that STP Integration Services has a working connection to Microsoft Exchange Server.
