After you have successfully connected your Amberlo system in Legal Twin, you can start working with the Legal Twin® - Case Knowledge.
Legal Twin in your Amberlo case
In your Amberlo case you see the analysis status of the case on the very top:
Analysing a case
Selecting documents
To start a first analysis, switch to the documents within the Amberlo case. Within the documents you can either use the checkbox on the top to select or unselect all documents with one click or choose the documents you want to have anaylsed.
If you use folders within the documents, you can also select a folder to analyse all documents within one folder.
If a case was already analysed before, all documents that have already been analysed will always be part of following analyses. As long as there were no changes made in the document since the last analysis, we will reuse the previous analysis and not analyse the document again. The pages of that document will not be deducted from your page quota again when the file is analysed a second time.
Currently the following document types can be analysed: - PDF - DOC, DOCX - TXT - RTF - ODT
All documents, with a document type that currently can’t be analysed, are skipped during analysis. You’ll also have a grey indicator in the ‘AI analysis’ column for these documents.
Starting the analysis
To start the analysis, click the ‘start analysis’ button after you’ve made your selection of documents.
During analysis the button in your case header turns yellow and says ‘analysing documents’, in the documents list you can also see the loading icon for each document that’s part of the analysis. As soon as a document is analysed, you’ll see a green checkmark here.
You can stop the analysis with the ‘stop analysis’ button - all already finished document summaries will remain, the rest of the analysis is cancelled.
During an analysis you can switch to any other Amberlo page or also close Amberlo.
Analysis Results
After the analysis is completed, the tag in the case header will show you if the analysis was successful or in case of failures also show them.
For more information you can click on the icon to see the list of documents, that were part of the anylsis and their status.
The AI generated summaries for all anaylsed documents can be found in the documents tab: Click on the document, you want to check the summary, to open the document preview.
In the side panel on the right you find the tab ‘AI Summary’ where you’ll see the document summary and if participants or events have been detected also lists of ai-detected participants and events.
All ai-extracted and -generated content is marked with the sparkle icon and the tag ‘ai-generated’.
Analysis History
On the matter dashboard in Amberlo within the activity feed you’ll see all analyses of a case. Filter for ‘ai analyses’ to get a better overview of the started analyses.
In the feed you can check previous and current ongoing processings, see error messages and get some more data on a processing.
This modal may not be very important to you as a user in your day-to-day work, but it provides us with valuable additional information when errors occur.
You can see whether an analysis was successful, partially successful, failed or was cancelled by the user.
If errors occurred, you will see the corresponding error message(s) and which documents are affected.
In addition, you will find a Support ID for each analysis, which you can copy using the “Copy” button. Please provide this to the support team if you need assistance with an analysis.
Legal Twin Chat
The Legal Twin Chat is placed on the right side of your Amberlo window and currently only available within a matter.
We provide some prompts as e.g. the summary of all documents you can choose. If you want to adjust the predefined prompts you can select them and modify them before sending. In general try to provide prompts that are as specific as possible.
Settings
In the main navigation in the top right corner you can access the general Amberlo settings. In the menu you’ll find the item ‘Legal Twin’.
user information
In the settings you find some information about your user as the name, user- and tenantID.
The shown user rights are just displayed here. To manage users rights please switch to the stp.cloud user management.

LLMs/ AI models
We usually provide multiple LLMs you can choose from. Currently available are models from Claude Sonnet.
You can choose different models for the chat and the document analyses as all models have different strengths and capabilities.
As soon as you select a model, all newly started analyses and chat queries will use the selected model automatically.
Usage
The usage of the current month is also displayed in the settings.
Please note that the limits and usage reflect the values of all users in your law firm.

Amberlo connections
You can add multiple Amberlo portfolios to Legal Twin. All connected portfolios are shown in the settings as well as detected but not yet connected portfolios.
You can either add portfolios here or also remove them. The connections can also be maintained directly in the stp.cloud.
