New Features
Sent messages are automatically filed in the correct case file
When you send a beA message with documents from the DMS and then import that sent message back into the DMS, you will be offered the option to file the sent message in the same location in the DMS where the documents originated.
If the documents come from different registers or case files, the filing location is determined by the documents you have marked as the formal submission. If no single unambiguous filing location can be identified, the message will be filed in the case file without a register or in the unassigned documents.
To use this feature, enable the option Use DMS assignment (case file / register) in the DMS Transfer dialog. For documents from folders, the collector's default configuration continues to apply.
For more information, see "Automatic Indexing When Filing to DMS" in the manual. (124927)
Note
For outgoing messages that were created as drafts in an earlier version of the application, retroactive assignment is not possible, as the required metadata is missing.
Improvements
Update to KSW Toolkit v4.5.2
The KSW Toolkit used for communication with the KSW interface has been updated to version 4.5.2. This version also includes an important bug fix for software token management: adding software tokens now works correctly, so the previous workaround via the official beA web portal with Client Security is no longer required.
Updated Aspose License
The Aspose license used in beA Desk for PDF creation and processing has been updated. This affects, among other things, the generation of preview PDFs during DMS export, PDF generation for eEB, image previews in the signature folder, and the merging of multiple PDF attachments during DMS export — all of these features will continue to work reliably.
Bug Fixes
Issue (ZD 189848): Drafts can no longer be sent from a different mailbox — When a different mailbox was selected within an already saved draft and then saved, an error message appeared, preventing the message from being sent via the selected mailbox. This issue has been fixed. (126399)
Issue (ZD 187918): Incorrect display in beA Desk (Recycle Bin) in some cases since version 1.12 — This particularly affected incoming messages that were originally created as drafts in LEXolution.DMS, sent via beA Desk, received, and then deleted. For these messages, the Recycle Bin in beA Desk could display an incorrect or empty sender. This issue has been fixed, and the Recycle Bin now shows the correct sender again. (125128)
Issue (ZD 192512): Improved stability when retrieving multiple mailboxes simultaneously — When multiple beA mailboxes were synchronized at the same time, error messages could occasionally occur because the beA server only allows one request per law firm at a time. Additionally, a single temporary error in one mailbox previously caused synchronization to be interrupted for all other active mailboxes as well. Requests are now reliably processed one after another, and temporary errors only affect the mailbox in question — synchronization for all other mailboxes continues without interruption. (128143)
Bug fix: xsi:schemaLocation in XJustiz records not conforming to the standard — The xsi:schemaLocation attribute in XJustiz records generated by beA Desk previously contained a relative path based on beA Desk's internal directory structure (e.g., "xsd/362/xjustiz_0005_nachrichten_3_2.xsd"). This path is meaningless to receiving systems and deviated from the reference implementation (e.g., beA Web). The value is now set in a standards-compliant manner without a path (e.g., "xjustiz_0005_nachrichten_3_2.xsd") — for both eEB and non-eEB messages. This issue has been fixed. (123250)
Bug fix: Corrected BlobStorage package integrated — We have fixed an issue in the internal file management system that could, in rare cases, cause the automatic cleanup routine for files that are no longer needed to incorrectly classify individual files as "unknown" and skip them as a result. Your documents and messages were never affected or at risk at any point; only the background cleanup routine was occasionally less thorough than intended. With this fix, the cleanup process now works reliably in all cases. (128702)
