Transferring Documents to Contract Insights

Starting with version 8.8.17, you can transfer documents directly from STP Documents to Contract Insights for AI-powered analysis. Contract Insights analyzes contract content and relevant clauses, presenting them in a clear and structured format. This makes it easier to identify and assess potential risks and notable contract provisions.

The transfer is available in both the Standard DESK and the Pro Client.

Prerequisites

• You need a valid cloud account and an active Contract Insights license.
• The connection to Contract Insights must be set up by an administrator.
• The document must be in PDF or PDF/A format.

Transferring a Document to Contract Insights

• In the document list, select the PDF or PDF/A document you want to analyze.
• Right-click the document and select Send to Contract Insights from the context menu.
• Contract Insights will open in your browser. Log in there.

The document is transferred to Contract Insights as a copy. The original document in the DMS remains unchanged.

Tip

If you keep the Contract Insights browser window open, you only need to log in once. If you close the browser, your login credentials will not be saved and you will need to log in again next time.

Note

You can only transfer one document at a time. The Send to Contract Insights option will be grayed out if the selected document cannot be transferred — for example, if it is not a PDF or PDF/A document, or if multiple documents are selected.
